About Us
Our Capabilities
On January 6 2007, James Castrission and Justin Jones will kayak over 2200km across the Tasman Sea, from Australia to New Zealand, unsupported. They will be raising funds and awareness for the Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick and leaving from The Australian National Maritime Museum, Cockle Bay. If successful, it will be the longest two man kayak expedition ever undertaken.
Case Study - Crossing the Ditch

In Jul 2006, Race Recon partnered up with two young Australian adventures who had embarked upon a goal to kayak unsupported over 2200km across the Tasman Sea, from Australia to New Zealand, a journey that had been unsuccessfully attempted three times before.
The aim of the partnership was to help Crossing the Ditch, as they are better known, raise funds and awareness for the Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick and share the most comprehensive and interactive coverage of a world first expedition 'as it happened' and in some cases LIVE! Browse through our partnership resources and explore Race Recon's perspective of Crossing the Ditch.
